SAVE’s Drag Bingo at R-House
The Drag Bingo fundraiser for SAVE at R-House Wynwood features different monthly themes and fabulous prizes for our winning guests. It's an evening filled with surprises and community.
All proceeds from the purchases of the bingo cards were donated to empower SAVE to keep promoting, protecting, and defending equality for people in South Florida who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.

On September 14, we rallied for reproductive freedom in Florida and a YES on Amendment 4! We need to remove politicians from our private medical decisions!
Miami Music Project Check Presentation
SAVE is proud to present a giant check to the Miami Music Project in Liberty City to support their after school music programs. The funds were raised during Nicole Henry's annual winter concert through AHF's Florida AIDS Walk matching program.

Guardian Society Appreciation Dinner
On the evening of Thursday, July 18, 2024, the SAVE's Guardian Society met for an appreciation dinner at A Fish Called Avalon in Miami Beach. The delicious dinner event was for longtime guardians members where we shared an insight on SAVE's 2024 election work and field plan presented by our Executive Director Todd Delmay.
Movie Screening: Paris is Burning
We celebrated PRIDE Month with friends to watch a complimentary screening of the Award-Winning, Ground-Breaking 1990 Documentary PARIS IS BURNING. The screening took place on Wednesday, June 26, at O Cinema in Miami Beach, where we enjoyed tea and complimentary champagne. After the movie, we had a Q&A panel with our special guest, Rico Milan, from the International Iconic House of Milan, who taught us about the Ballroom culture, the movement, and history.
Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Festival
We got a big check! We are grateful to our donors for their generosity during the Florida AIDS Walk fundraising period, and especially to AHF for doubling their donations! On June 15, SAVE Executive Director Todd Delmay and Board Chair Joe Pena accepted a check for $967,576.36 that will now fuel the launch of our grassroots campaign to turn out pro-equality voters this year for our endorsed candidates in key races.
PRIDE Month Kick-Off Brunch!
On Saturday, June 1st, we kicked off Pride Month with a dazzling brunch celebration alongside the Miami River backdrop hosted by SAVE and SAVE Board Member Daniel Chapman. Guests enjoyed a variety of treats, drinks, and a fantastic drag show by Jasmine Lords. The event marked the beginning of PRIDE Month in a spirit of inclusivity, acceptance, and celebration of diversity.
We want to give a big shout-out to former School Board Member and congressional candidate Lucia Báez-Geller, who came out to show her pride!
2024 Champions of Equality Gala
The Champions of Equality Awards Gala was a great success, raising over $486,000.00 for SAVE through sponsorships, memberships, tables purchased, live auction bidding, and donations. The funds raised will be used to implement an aggressive field strategy to reach voters ahead of the 2024 elections.
Two Things at Once
In a heartwarming and fun birthday celebration for David Richardson, with musical performances by our talented allies Nicole Henry and Alexander Zenoz, we also commemorated that David Richardson and the SAVE Foundation have been working side by side for over a decade to promote, protect, and defend equality for the LGBTQ+ community in South Florida. We want to send a special thanks to The Betsy Hotel for donating the space and delicious food, to Abbott florist for donating the flowers to the event, as well as to all our guests and generous donors.
Miami Beach Pride
Every year, SAVE brings together volunteers, donors, elected officials, and endorsed candidates at Miami Beach Pride - and this year, we gathered to highlight the diversity of our LGBTQ+ community.
Spring Soiree
Ellen & Philip Freidin hosted a marvelous Spring Soireé to benefit the SAVE Foundation and support its mission to promote, protect and defend equality for people in South Florida who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. We met so many new friends and had the chance to share the work for our community we do through SAVE over light bites, drinks, and laughs.
