We celebrated our Volunteers Appreciation Day with the Delmay Family, who warmly opened their home to our volunteers and shared their traditional Holiday Cookie Party to praise our volunteers' hard work this year. We were fortunate to have SAVE's co-founder, Rosemary Wilder, as a special guest. She shared her wisdom and empowered our volunteers to keep up the good fight in 2024 to elect pro-LGBTQ+ candidates and combat misinformation.

Returning to the Colony Theatre for her 10th benefit concert, world-renowned, award-winning vocalist Nicole Henry celebrated and paid homage to The Divas that we know and love: Diana, Ella, Barbra, Chaka, Doris, Whitney, Tina, and more. Of course, a lil’ holiday music also delivered additional joy for the season, as was the gift-giving; this concert raises funds for two local non-profit organizations, The Miami Music Project and the presenting 501c3, SAVE.

SAVE volunteers know how important it is to Get Out The Vote in municipal elections. Thank you to them for doing this work and advancing pro-equality candidates in our community.

SAVE and RHouse 2023's Halloween event, HALL-O-QUEEN was a great success! Our members, friends, and volunteers unleashed their inner drag queens and kings! Whether it's a little guy-liner or a floor length gown, we want showed our solidarity with our drag siblings by bending our genders and giving a little Halloween scare to Tallahassee! Latrice Royale, our own homegrown International Diva hosted the event with RHouse icon, Athena Dion.

The SAVE FOUNDATION, in partnership with Books & Books, hosted Chasten Buttigieg, a beacon of hope, compassion, and inclusivity. His passion for social justice, education, and LGBTQ+ rights has inspired countless individuals and ignited a powerful movement for change.

VIP attendees received a copy of Chasten’s book, ‘I Have Something to Tell You,’ and donations benefit the SAVE Foundation and the Reproductive Freedom Collective of Broward County.

Volunteers took action to reduce LGBTQ prejudice in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Our volunteers learned how to apply our "deep canvassing" model, which involves canvassers having meaningful conversations about LGBTQ prejudice at voters' doorsteps. On Sunday, July 2, 2023, SAVE joined the "We the People National March" to have our voices heard. Our most treasured American freedoms are under attack, and it is time to speak up.

The rights we hold dear could be erased. This country has never seen such blatant abuse of power against virtually every group - people of color, immigrants, women, LGBTQ+ communities, Jewish people, and more.

We are still smiling from ear to ear after last night’s Champions of Equality Gala. It’s hard not to when you’re celebrating heroes like Glen Weinzimer, Jennifer Solomon, Don Hayden, and Maria Bures & MaryAnne Lukacs.

Great time at Miami Beach Pride this past weekend. Thank you to all the volunteers who marched in the Parade. Tonight, at a fantastic fundraiser at Miami Beach Sunset Island, we raised $180k for the SAVE Foundation. We had live performances by Lindsey Alley with piano by Rick Leonard, adding some fun to our celebration. We also had great dance music by DJ Joel Corriher. Thank you to all of our donors and supporters.

Students and SAVE volunteers have formed a coalition to defend academic freedom, Black history, and LGBTQIA+ rights. A crowd estimated at around two hundred mostly young people marched from the Florida State University campus to the fourth-floor rotunda in the state Capitol, making their voices heard in Tallahassee to oppose new DEI and anti-trans policies set by the DeSantis Administration.

We are so proud to be in community today with LGBTQ people and allies at the Florida AIDS Walk. Today we remember all of those we have lost to HIV/AIDS. We honor them with our collective power to end the stigma with education about prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Thank you all for supporting the SAVE Foundation.
